South Padre Island Vacation Rental Terms and ConditionsProperty Identity and DatesYour reservation with SuntideII is for a particular condominium. Please review the arrival and departure dates and information about the property carefully. Minimum StayWe rent accommodations on a nightly, weekly, and 30 night basis. During the Summer Season and certain holiday seasons, a three-night minimum stay, and in some cases, a seven-night minimum stay is required. Advance Deposit and PaymentWhen making a reservation here at Suntide II, we require $300 nonrefundable deposit to guarantee the booking. We accept mastercard, visa and discover. There is a 3% reservation charge with every credit card transaction.Personal checks cannot be accepted if your arrival date is within 30 days of the date that you reserved your property. If you are making your SuntideII reservation within 30 days of arrival full payment will be due. Final Payment for monthly stays is due 30 days prior to arrival. For student spring break rentals, full payment is required and is not refundable for any reason. Payment of the remaining 75% is due 30 days prior to arrival. We also do require a $200 damage deposit in cash for families and monthly rentals and a $350/$450 damage deposit in cash for spring breakers which is due upon check in. It is refundable only upon the event that there is no damages to the condo nor towels after an inspection by the housekeepers. Cancellation PolicyWe do have a 30 day (for families) and 60-day (for monthly) cancellation policy. For reservations made within 30 days of arrival, cancellation or changes may be made without penalty no later than 24 hours after making the reservation. If you purchased the Travel Insurance, please notify CSA Travel Protection at 800-554-9839 about your cancellation and reason. If you did purchase the insurance simply put a claim in with CSA. InsuranceWe offer optional Travel Insurance through CSA that will insure reimbursement of your money due to emergency cancellation, death, or hurricane evacuation. If you wish to purchase the Travel Insurance then it is due with the advance payment and can not be purchased within 45 days of arrival. After purchasing the insurance you do have 10 days to change your mind as long as it is more than 45 days to arrival, after that the insurance is paid and is non-refundable. If you are making reservation with-in 45 days of arrival the insurance premium is due with your initial pre-payment and is not refundable. A summary of plan coverages is available. Reservation FeeAll reservations require a reservation fee of $20.00. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid with advance rental payment. Rental Office LocationThe SuntideII office is located in the parking garage below the tennis courts. Our Front Desk is open 8:00am to 6:00pm 7 days a week to serve your needs. Check-in here for all properties. Late check ins are accommodated by lockbox, which we will give you the combination for prior to arrival. In the event that you will be arriving after hours, please contact our office before 6:00 pm that day so we will be able to give you the combination number. Check-in TimeCheck-in time is after 4 p.m. on the day of your arrival at the SuntideII office. We ask that you plan accordingly with regards to purchasing groceries. Occasional check-in delays may occur during times of heavy departure and our staff will assist you during these times to make you as comfortable as possible. If you want to check in earlier than 4:00, please give us a call at 1-800-237-4786 the day before your arrival and we will let you know if that is possible. HousekeepingYour unit will be clean and ready for use upon arrival. We provide all linens, sheets, and fully equipped kitchens in each unit. Daily towel or linen service is available before 11:ooam each day. There are coin operated washers and dryers on the second and forth floors of the building. Addtitional housekeeping is available for a fee on per cleaning basis. DepartureCheckout time is prior to 11 a.m. at the SuntideII office. There will be a fee charged for late departures. There are no refunds for early departures. Even if you don't want to leave (and we suspect you'll be sorry to go), we’ll need every minute to get the property ready for the next guest. Here are a few things that we ask you do: • Make sure all refuse is in outside garbage cans located on each floor • Place dishes in dishwasher • Lock all doors and windows KeysWe use a keyless entry system similar to that used in major hotels around the world. We will provide two keys with each check in, and these must be returned to the front desk upon check out or your deposit will be held. There will be a $10.00 charge for spring breakers and a $2.00 charge for families and monthly rentals for each set of keys not returned by checkout time of your departure date. AutomobilesParking is under the tennis court and in front of the property. You will be required to use a VIP parking pass for display in your window or your vehicle will be subject to towing. We provide one space for each unit. Condition of PropertyWe have done our best to keep the pictures of each unit up to the minute, but sometimes owners sneak in on us and remodel and don’t tell us about it in time to update the site. What we do promise, is that you will be happy with your selection, or we will do our best to accommodate requested changes if possible. Items to BringYou will need to bring your own beach towels, soap, & paper products, food, & condiments and a swimsuit or two! The condos are fully furnished down to the blender for those fancy drinks. LinensThere is not a daily maid service provided with your rental. It is available for an extra fee of $45.00 per day should you wish to have that service. Your property will be cleaned and provided with fresh linens before your arrival. When you leave, please make sure all trash is in the garbage cans provided on each floor, place dishes in the dishwasher, and lock all doors and windows, and return the pass keys to SuntideII front desk. Occupancy LimitsThe maximum occupancy of each unit is stated on the web site and contract. Any exceptions must be in writing from SuntideII Management. The condos that we rent and it’s facilities are for the use of registered guests only and cannot be used for parties, dinners, family re-unions or other gatherings that would cause the occupancy limits to be exceeded. Refundable Security DepositA refundable Security/Damage deposit of $200 is due upon arrival in the form of CASH only. The deposit can be refunded upon departure between the hours of 9AM and 5PM after your rental property has been inspected. Please allow us about 1 hour to perform the inspection. If you are unable to wait, or if you checkout before 9 am or after 5 PM, our accounting office will mail you the refund check with-in 10 days. UnavailabilityOccasionally a condominium which has been reserved will not be available because of damage to the unit, because the property has been sold, or for other reasons beyond our control. When that happens, we will substitute comparable accommodations and notify you by phone or email of the change. If comparable accommodations are not available, you will have the option of selecting from available properties at the published rate or receiving a complete refund of your reservation advance payment. ConstructionOccasionally, a unit may be under a complete remodel and this will cause some noise. All construction crews at SuntideII are well mannered, and work doesn't begin before 7 a.m. during the week, 9 a.m. on Saturday and almost never on Sunday. If you have problems, please let us know and we’ll ask the contractors to be more considerate. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds in the event of construction noise. TelephonesAll properties are equipped with telephones for the guests’ convenience. Outgoing long-distance telephone calls are blocked, but may be made collect or by using a calling card. InternetThe entire building is a Wi-Fi hot zone. You can use the internet in your room, in the office, or by the pool. It is key encrypted, so a password will be given to you upon arrival. Mail DeliveriesMail may be sent to a guest c/o SuntideII, 4400 Padre Blvd., South Padre Island, TX 78597. Please put the name of the person receiving the mail clearly on the front of the mail. PetsSorry, we are a pet free property. Lost and FoundAlthough we cannot be held responsible for items left behind, we do make every effort to locate and return forgotten items to you. Contact our rental office and found items will be sent UPS C.O.D. There is an additional $25 handling fee. SmokingALL of our properties are designated as non-smoking accommodations. No smoking is permitted anywhere inside of the properties. Should anyone in your group smoke, please have them do so outside on the patio, porch or balcony. Again, there is an additional fee of $500 for cleaning and damages for those guests found to have smoked in any of our properties. Hurricane EvacuationIf you choose to accept the Traveling Insurance and a Mandatory Evacuation order is issued for The Township of South Padre Island during your stay, you will be able to submit an insurance claim for the nights that you were unable to occupy the property. RatesRates (until advance payment has been received) and policies are subject to change without notice. Rates are subject the applicable lodging tax in effect during your stay. |
