Suntide II Resort Condominiums
Rental Terms and Conditions
Your reservation with Suntide II is for a particular unit. Carefully review the arrival and departure dates and information about the property.
Here are some things you’ll need to know, and agree to when renting a unit from Suntide II Resort Condominiums:
Minimum Age of Principal Guest
The principal guest must be 21 years of age or older. The principal guest will be responsible for all other guests that are less than 21 years of age.
All reservations require a 3-night minimum stay.
Advance Deposit and Payment
A $350.00 Deposit is required to hold a reservation. This amount is charged to your Credit Card at the time of the reservation.
Payment of the remaining Balance is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival and is NON- REFUNDABLE at that point.
At 30 Days before arrival, your credit card will automatically be billed the balance of the reservation.
If your reservation is made within 30 days of your arrival or less, FULL PAYMENT is due at that time.
(A 3% processing fee will apply to all credit card payments.)
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express
Rates (until advance payment has been received) and policies are subject to change without notice. Rates are subject to applicable lodging taxes in effect during your stay.
Refundable Damage Deposit
We require a $200 damage deposit in CASH only, for all rentals, due upon check-in. This damage deposit is refundable only AFTER an inspection of the condo unit has been conducted upon checkout and unit passes inspection. Please allow us up to 1 hour to perform the inspection. If you are unable to wait, or if you check-out before 9:00 A.M., our accounting office will mail you a refund check within 10 working days.
A $300 damage deposit in CASH only is required during the Easter Holiday which is due upon check in. This damage deposit is refundable only AFTER an inspection of the unit has been conducted upon checkout and unit passes inspection. The cleaning fee for Easter Holiday Week is $95.00.
Wristbands must be purchased at the time of check in with a charge of $25.00 for ages 12 yrs and up.
We have a 30-day cancellation policy. If you cancel anytime within 30 days of your arrival, you are not entitled to any refund. For reservations made within 30 days of arrival, cancellation or changes may be made no later than 24 hours after making the reservation. Any refund will be less a $50.00 Administrative Fee. Changes in a reservation, such as shortening a stay or transferring to another Condo are considered a Cancellation and the $50.00 Administration Fee will apply.
We do recommend purchasing the additional CSA Travel Insurance. Please notify CSA Travel Protection at 800-554-9839 about your Cancellation and reason. http://tempuri.org/tempuri.html
Rental Office Location
The Suntide II office is located at 4400 Gulf Blvd.between Saturn & Esperanza Sts, off of Padre Blvd. A visual landmark is the Blackbeard's Restaurant that is between these two streets. Our Rental Office is open 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., 7 days a week.
Check-in time is after 4:00 P.M. We make every effort to ensure that all units are clean and ready for occupancy; however, in some instances, it may be necessary to delay occupancy until the unit is ready. (There are no refunds/credits due to late occupancy). If you anticipate arrival after 5:00 P.M., notify our office ahead of time so that arrangements can be made for late check-in packet and directions.
Checkout time is no later than 11:00 A.M. NO EXCEPTIONS. (There are no refunds/credits for early departures). Our cleaning crew requires your timely departure so that the unit can be prepared for the next guest.
Necessary Check-out Procedures:
• Make sure all refuse is in outside garbage cans located on each floor.
• Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start a cycle.
• Gather all dirty towels and linen and place in one pile.
Your unit will be clean and ready for use upon arrival. Any additional housekeeping during your stay is available for an extra fee upon request. We provide all linens, sheets, and fully-equipped kitchens in each unit. Scheduled towel or linen exchange is available between 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. each day. There are coin-operated washers and dryers on the second, fourth and fifth floors of Suntide II.
You will be provided with (2) key cards for each condo unit rental. They must be returned to the office upon check-out. There is a fee per key card that is lost, damaged, or not returned by check-out time of your departure date.
Proper swim attire is required. No street clothes, cut-offs, denim shorts, or thong bathing suits are permitted in the pool area.
There is one parking space available per condo unit. Upon check-in, you will be issued a parking permit that is required to be displayed on your vehicle (rear view mirror) while parked on Suntide II property. Due to limited parking, we cannot allow boats, water sports equipment (wave runners, jet skis, kayaks, etc.) recreational vehicles, trailers of any kind or size, or eighteen wheelers on the property. Any vehicles not displaying the parking permit will be subject to be towed at the Owner's expense.
We have done our best to describe the property and its furnishings as accurately as possible. However, sometimes an owner will remodel or redecorate a property after the information has been printed. We also make every effort to keep each unit and its equipment in good working order, and to make repairs as soon as possible when we are notified of a problem. No refund or rate adjustment will be made for mechanical failures, such as air conditioning, television or appliances.
Items to Bring
You will need to bring your own beach towels, toiletries, paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, coffee filters). We provide each unit with the first set of complimentary toilet paper and one roll of paper towels.
The properties rented through Suntide II Condominiums and its facilities are for the use of registered guests only and cannot be used for parties, dinners, family reunions or other gatherings including persons just visiting for the day that would cause the occupancy limit to be exceeded. Renter agrees that violation of this provision automatically forfeits renter's full deposit, without recourse by Renter and subjects renter to additional rental charges for exceeding occupancy rules as set forth in the Condominium rental agreement.
Occasionally a condo unit which has been reserved will not be available for reasons beyond our control. When that happens, we will substitute a comparable condo unit and notify you by phone or email of the change.
Occasionally, a unit may be under a complete remodel and this will create noise. All construction crews at Suntide II are well-mannered, and work does not usually begin before 10:00 A.M. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds in the event of construction noise.
Telephone & Internet
Each unit is provided with a telephone that provides free local and U.S. calls. A secure Cobianet WIFI modem is connected in each unit. In the event of ANY connectivity issues, there will be no refunds/credits.
No pets are allowed in any of our condo units. This will result in eviction AND loss of damage deposit.
ALL of our condo units are designated as non-smoking. Smoking is allowed on the balcony. You must keep doors closed to disallow smoke from entering condo unit. Smoking and/or smoke odor found inside the condo unit will result in loss of damage deposit.
Lost and Found
We cannot be held responsible for items left behind. Items found will be held in the office in the event guest contacts Suntide II. Arrangements can be made to return items to the guest.
In the event of a Mandatory Evacuation order for the City of South Padre Island during your stay, you may be able to submit an insurance claim for the nights that you were unable to occupy the unit. If you chose the additional CSA Travel Insurance, simply contact them at http://www.suntideii.com/travel-insurance.htm .
Due to the CSA Policy stating “No refund once a renter has checked into their unit,” please be advised that if you have already been checked into your unit/condo at the time of a mandatory/forced evacuation, there will be NO REFUND of the CSA damage insurance policy amount of $25.00.
I have read, understand, and agree to abide by these TERMS. I understand that violating these rules may result in eviction with no refund. I understand the cost of extra cleaning, excessive garbage removal, missing items, and damages may be deducted from my damage deposit or charged to my credit card and hereby authorize Suntide II Condominiums for such charges. I understand that my rental expires at 11:00 am and I will check out, remove all of my possessions and vacate the premises at or prior to that time unless specific permission is obtained from the management. I understand that if I leave early for any reason or am evicted I am NOT entitled to a refund.
